How important are your grades during college?

FACTORY FANS!

The 5 day countdown has finally down to #1!

#1 Academics

We know that the decisions that college students make while at school can affect the rest of their lives. According to a survey of more than 200 employers conducted last year by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, 67% of companies said they screened candidates by their GPA. The Factory was designed to help students do better in school and become more successful. Across our campus there will be 18 study rooms that will have projectors, whiteboards, and desks. This will allow our residents to be more effective in their studies, get better grades and ultimately get a better job.

How important is it to live close to campus?

FACTORY FANS!

The 5 day countdown of the 5 best reasons to live at the Factory continues.

#3 Location

Being close to campus is essential for becoming a successful student. Only needing to walk 5 minutes to campus opposed to 15 minutes, makes the difference when deciding to go to that extra study session, club activity, or meeting with a professor.

The Factory is perfectly situated with bus stop located directly in front of the complex. The bus is free to use and will take residents not only to campus but all over Logan. Factory residents will be able to enjoy the warm cafĂ©, eat a complimentary breakfast and wait for the bus every morning. In the dead of winter, waiting outside for a bus in Logan is…. not very fun.

Tips for dealing with roommates!

Roommate Life

The only person that has probably nagged you about playing your music too loud or leaving your clothes on the floor was your mom or dad, or an extremely annoying sibling. At college, you are going to be accountable for your grades, finding a way to pay for tuition, and learning how to handle living with people outside your family. It may come easy for some, but completely unnatural for others. Here are a few tips to get along with the new roomies.

1) Call, don't click

Once you've found or been assigned a roommate through your apartments matching program, it's fine to look them up on Facebook, but don't judge them based on what you find online or let that be the extent of your pre-college contact. Give them a call simply to introduce yourself or to decide who is bringing the TV, radio, and kitchen utensils. Don't just rely on Facebook Texting, Twitter, and Tinder to get to know someone. People are more than the pictures they post on social network sites.

2) Don't Bottle Up Issues

No matter how good of friends you might be with someone, if you spend the majority of the day with them, their quirks might start to drive you crazy. If they do something that annoys you, or there's a more serious problem, have a calm honest conversation. If you don’t, you may risk unleashing a hurtful explosion near the end of the semester.

3) Set rules

Though it may be awkward at first, having an honest conversation with your roommate in the first few days in an effort to set some rules will prove to be helpful long term. Whether it be about cleaning the room, listening to music doing the dishes and having friends over. Letting your roommates know what might make you uncomfortable is important.

4) Get A Private Room

One easy way to avoid a lot of roommate problems is to get a private room. Roommates often have different schedules, sleeping patterns and friends. Nothing is worse than having your roommate wake you up when they noisily come in to get ready for bed at 2 in the morning, especially when you have a test the next day. Aggie Factory has a wide variety of floor plan options that are perfect for every type of student. Paying a little extra for a private room will go a long way.

Saving TIME!

Factory Fans!

Before the Aggie Factory was designed, a survey of 15,000 USU students was done to get information about what students loved and hated about apartment living and college life. Aggie Factory 's design incorporated many of the suggestions to make sure students have the ultimate college experience.

Not Enough Time

One thing that students often say is that they don't have enough TIME.

I don't have enough TIME to hang with my friends

I don't have enough TIME to study to get good grades

I don't get enough sleep because I don't have enough TIME

The Aggie Factory was designed to make sure students are as effective and efficient as possible. Just imagine, having an extra 2 hours to study for each test, could change B grades to A grades.  With those better grades, a better job could be offered with a higher salary. The decisions college students make now can affect the rest of their life. The Aggie Factory is dedicated to helping students become successful in every aspect of college living.

Washer and Dryer in Every Unit!

Every unit at the Aggie Factory will include a stacked washer and dryer. The days of sitting in a dingy laundry facility with a pocket full of quarters are over. This will not only save time but it will save tons of money. If the average student does two loads of laundry a week, it would cost them about $6.00 ($1.50 washer/ $1.50 dryer) per week. During the 9 month school year students could spend over $200 just for laundry! Also, the hour spent in the dimly lit laundry facility could be used studying in one of the 18 private study rooms located throughout the apartments. More time = better grades!

2 Story Fitness Center

An important part of a healthy college lifestyle is frequent exercise. During college, finding time to workout can be hard to do. The gym on campus can be quite the experience in the following ways; 1) The Smell! Any gym that gets used all day every day tends to have a certain smell. 2) The Crowd! Nothing is worse than getting to the gym ready to get ripped and to have every single treadmill, elliptical, bench and free weight are taken. 3) The Price! If the on campus gym is too much to handle then something off campus might be better... but the price is usually ridiculous. If the average gym pass is $30 a month, then during the school year a student could spend $270 or more. The Aggie Factory is raising the bar with a state of the art 2 story gym. All residents will have access to the many treadmills, ellipticals and free weights. Students will save time walking up to campus and save money on the extra gym fees.

Lease TODAY!

The reasons above are two of many why staying at the Aggie Factory will save you time and money. Aggie Factory is currently leasing and filling up quick. Give us a call for more information on pricing, floor plans and the lease agreement.
